The following gift is the subject of this application: Name of Gift Proposed Change The Norman Drummond Campbell ’30 Student Loan Fund That the restriction in the gifts’ instruments establishing the Campbell Fund -- that the income be used for the purpose of making loans to “needy, worthy” undergraduate Princeton students -- be modified or released, so that the Fund’s income may be used for the following purposes and in the listed order of preference: i. first, consistent with the terms and implementation of the original gift, making loans to “needy, worthy” undergraduate Princeton students, i.e., students in need of financial assistance; ii. second, to support undergraduate scholarships to assist Princeton students with financial need; and iii. third, when funds still remain, to support graduate fellowships to assist Princeton students with financial need. Copies of the Verified Complaint, Brief and Order to Show Cause in this matter may be obtained through the Office of the General Counsel of Princeton University at the address and telephone number set forth below. Any party who wishes to be heard with respect to the proposed change shall file with the Clerk of the Superior Court, Mercer County and serve upon the Office of the General Counsel of Princeton University at the address set forth below, a written answer, an answering affidavit, a motion returnable on the date this matter is scheduled to be heard or other response to this Order to Show Cause and to the relief requested in the Verified Complaint at least fifteen (15) days before the hearing date. Filing shall be made at the following address: Clerk of the Superior Court, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, Mercer County Civil Courthouse, 175 S. Broad St., 3rd Floor, Trenton, New Jersey (mailing address: P.O. Box 8068, Trenton, New Jersey 08650-0068) and must include a filing fee of $175.00, payable to the “Treasurer, State of New Jersey.” Such responding party shall also file with such Chancery Division, General Equity Part by the foregoing date a proof of service of the responsive pleadings upon the Office of the General Counsel of Princeton University.
